Thank You Penn State Fitness

About two years ago, I decided to become a fitness instructor. I was going through a rough time, and was searching for my individual identity. This was one of the most random decisions, but one of the most rewarding and instrumental moments of my life.

I have had some amazing instructors in my life. These instructors have challenged me and unleashed my inner fire. I've had instructors who made me more confident in my body. I've had instructors who have helped me form a consistent workout routine. Above all, I had an instructor who encouraged me to sign up for my first triathlon, which I completed this past summer. I never thought I could do what they did- these instructors changed my life and I never thought I could impact someone the way these instructors impacted me.

I’ve come to understand that my main personal goal as a fitness instructor is to help clients realize that they don’t need me; everything that they do in the class is all them, I’m just there to dust them off and give them a little push. Basically, it sounds like my goal is to put myself out of a job here haha, but you catch my drift. When you really love what you do, it becomes more about others than yourself.

Penn State Fitness, thank you for everything you have done for this community. I’m so blessed to have been trained and a part of such an amazing fitness program. Every rider that has come to my class has changed me as a person, and I hope that I have positively influenced them as well. Especially to my regulars (you know who you are), you are all diamonds and don’t ever let your sparkle dull.

Sometimes, all you need is for someone to believe in you. NEVER forget the amazing emotional and physical discoveries you have made in class, and always know that I am your #1 believer.
