PRODUCT REVIEW: IdealBoost Packets

Cravings... we all can't stand them. Almost all of us experience food cravings at one time or another. In a study from Tufts University, 91% of women said they have experienced strong food cravings.

If you are trying to lose weight and stay in shape, cravings can seriously deter your weight loss efforts. IdealShape, the creators of IdealBoost, know how frustrating it can be to master craving control. That's why they created IdealBoost Drink Mix Stick Packets, a small powder pack that you simply mix in your water bottle.

I'm not a fan of quick fixes, but if you turn to sugary soda or energy drinks, IdealBoost is a healthier alternative to help you stay on track. Simply put a pack of IdealShape in your purse, add it to your water in the afternoon, and you'll have a guilt-free energy boost.

This product is extremely easy to use and very portable; you can bring an IdealBoost pack with you practically anywhere you go.

I base my product reviews on three principles that seem most relevant to me: taste, price, and nutrition. Let's get to it!

Although IdealBoost comes in various flavors, we tried the Tropical Punch. It was delicious! Very tasty and refreshing flavor. Other flavors include Raspberry Citrus and Pineapple Strawberry. You can purchase a variety pack as well to taste all three flavors. This is definitely a product plus!

Price is pretty comparable to other products of its kind. The box comes with 30 drink mix stick packs, which is quite a lot! The IdealBoost website has them for $39.99, averaging around $1.30 per pack. Get them here:

The highlights start with the 5 calories per pack; with minimal calories, this is a weight loss friendly alternative to soda, energy drinks, or other snacks. Each pack is rich in B Vitamins, which assist in the energy boosting process. The caffeine in each pack is equivalent to less than that in a cup of coffee (80mg in one packet); if you are sensitive to caffeine, this might not be for you, but the caffeine is relatively minimal. Soluble fiber, green tea, and green coffee bean are among the ingredients that help in the craving control process. Raspberry ketones have shown weight loss benefits, but more research is needed. The only negative I have about this product is the sucralose sweetener; however, since the packet is so small, the amount of sucralose that you are getting is minimal. At the end of the day, you're probably better off having a small bit of sucralose as opposed to a decadent treat full of sugar and processed junk.

Overall Stef Health Tips Score: 4.5/5

Positives: Low Calorie, Price, Taste, B Vitamins, Easy To Use

Negatives: Sucralose

A special thanks to IdealShape for sending us their packs to sample.
